The Orchard Road area is great place to start a shopping spree, as there are high-end stores at every turn. You would expect nothing less from a neighborhood that boasts 22 malls and six department stores. There are also four movie theaters, including an IMAX and KTV.

Who would have thought that over 150 years ago, Orchard Road was just a small lane lined with fruit orchards, nutmeg plantations and pepper farms.
